Educational Contribution
The "Island-wide Paradise Plan," a regional development model promoted by 373.farm, is also an initiative that contributes to solving the problems facing Japanese agriculture, such as the "aging of farmers," the "shortage of bearers," and the "increase in abandoned farmland.
As part of this challenge, we are working to provide many children with a place to "learn, experience, and discover agriculture" and to promote interaction with the elderly people of Sakishima.
On this page, we would like to introduce some of the specific initiatives we have undertaken to date.

Research class: "Unit title: Smart Farming on Sagishima to Solve Local Problems
Study Subject: Let's find out the real aim of Mr. Kobatake's "Sagishima Paradise Plan".
On Friday, July 5, 2024, a research class was held by Mr. Masao Harakon, a 3rd grade 2 teacher at Mihara Elementary School attached to Hiroshima University. This class is part of a study on smart agriculture in Sakijima, which aims to solve local issues.
The students were challenged by the instructor to explore the real aim of the "Sagishima Paradise Plan" while focusing on a person named "Mr. Kobatake," and to think about their own vision of the future that "Mr. Kobatake" is aiming for.
This class,In an effort to rethink conventional simultaneous classes and realize "independent, interactive, and deep learning",Unlearning."concept has been incorporated.I felt as if I had been there.
Unlearning" means forgetting conventional knowledge and habits for a moment and thinking and acting from a new perspective. The teacher posed questions to the students and provided opportunities for spontaneous thinking and awareness.
I was very pleased to hear that the students were able to think about the "Sagishima Paradise Plan" from a new perspective and come up with their own answers, without being bound by their habitual thinking.
I hope that this kind of learning will continue in the future as students develop the ability to face local issues through agriculture.
Below are some of the materials used in the actual research class.

Asupara 373" appeared at school lunch!
At the end of the class, the students were served "Asupara 373" sauteed with bacon, corn, and cabbage in the school's lunch program.
A student from Class 2, Year 3 wrote a letter to "Mr. Kobatake".
3.delivery class to Mihara Municipal Daini Junior High School
At the request of Mihara Municipal Daini Junior High School, we had planned to invite 20 students for a farm tour and work experience at 373.farm on Friday, August 30, 2024, but unfortunately the event was canceled due to the approach of Typhoon No. 10.
Later, through talking with the teacher in charge and the principal, we were able to change the form of this work experience to focus on agriculture, as many of the students do not have many opportunities to experience "agriculture",373.farm" and "product development" using substandard productsWe have requested the following
Presentation competition of "product development ideas" that actually came from the students
The students then proposed a variety of product development ideas.
Just as the asparagus sticks and asparagus ice cream were born as a result of planning meetings that began through old stories and daily conversations while grandparents ate lunch and rice balls in the work shed, the students' flexible ideas will gradually take shape.
Through this outreach program, students had the opportunity to communicate with family members and adults other than teachers, and were able to get a sense of the people of Sakijima and its attractions, which made them want to visit the island.
It was a meaningful class that conveyed the appeal of agriculture as a profession.
For Educational Institutions
If you need help, we are here to help!
In response to the fact that elementary and junior high school students have fewer opportunities to be exposed to agriculture, we at 373.farm are actively preparing to accept students.
We are happy to provide a place where students can learn about the importance of nature and food, as well as a chance to interact with local residents through an agricultural experience. Although the number of students accepted and the timing of the program need to be adjusted, we can flexibly adjust the program to fit your school's curriculum.
We hope to help provide students with valuable learning opportunities through the agricultural field.
